Cannabis Reclaim Characterization: A Systematic Exploration of Material Constituents, Temperature Variables, Chemical Constituents, and Their Collective Effects on Consumption-Related Phenomena
Abstract:
Our objective is to investigate the constituents of combusted cannabis concentrate (solvent-based and solventless reclaim) and the influence of various parameters on the cannabinoid conversion dynamics during the process of ‘dabbing’. We examine several critical variables, namely the volume of consumption per session and the specific temperature at which dabbing is executed. The primary thrust of this experiment is to furnish empirically grounded solutions and cultivate a deeper comprehension around the dabbing experience and optimizing the most complete manifestation of cannabinoids.
Designed by Black Market Glass, we use a custom quartz cold trap specifically engineered to capture and retain any unvaporized cannabinoids present in the residual reclaim, a byproduct of the dabbing process. By more effectively capturing the reclaim, this customized cold trap enhances the recovery and accurate representation of the cannabinoid conversion process during dabbing. Additionally, the use of quartz as our substrate minimizes the potential for contamination within the final reclaim material.
