Our Values

These founding principles guide all the work we do, from the chemical analysis to research and education.

Community

We exist to have a positive impact on each other and our community.
We are at our best when we work as a team on a common goal.

Honesty

We own our mistakes.
We dive into problems to understand the full truth to identify best solutions.
We are honest, even when it’s difficult.

Knowledge

We proactively seek information to be better, and to satisfy our curiosity.
We strive to have the right people in the right roles with the right information.
We happily share knowledge with our teams and broader community.

Agility

We voice concerns in real time.
We identify a problem and the right people to solve it.
We quickly implement effective solutions.

Diligence

We care about our work.
We do what’s needed to continually improve.
We strive to be effective and efficient.

HOW WE’RE WORKING TO DO BETTER:
  • Recruiting Policy – implemented in 2018, our recruiting policy prioritizes diversity candidates and those from communities most impacted by the war on drugs.
  • Diversity Committee – Established in 2019, our diversity committee works to promote inclusion within the workplace as well as the industry as a whole.
  • Vendor Diversity Program – Also established in 2019, this program requires us to do an annual review of the vendors we choose to work with and prioritize those owned by Black, Indigenous, or other People of Color (BIPOC).

Diversity in the Community:
  • We regularly support advocacy groups like Elevate NE, Mass EON, The Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council, and Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM) through donations and sponsorships.
  • We have consistently donated $1,500 per month to organizations that support POC and those affected by the war on drugs. In June 2020, we decided to raise that monthly contribution to $3,000.
  • We have organized cannabis job fairs that are hosted and promoted within communities most affected by the war on drugs. Local cannabis companies are always invited to join us and advertise their open positions and provide attendees with relevant information and resources to help them enter the industry.
  • We have consulted and provided POC entrepreneurs with the resources and information necessary for them to grow their own cannabis businesses in addition to offering relaxed pricing and payment options to equity and economic empowerment organizations.
