MCR'S COVID-19 RESPONSE: We have updated our facilities and procedures for enhanced safety.
Responding to COVID-19

MCR Labs has taken several preventative measures to protect our staff while continuing to provide vital testing services for licensed business and support for consumer safety

At MCR Labs, our primary mission is to advance public safety through leading-edge chemical analysis of cannabis products. Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our clients, partners, friends, and the cannabis community at large. We understand how vital our service is to the cannabis community, which is why we continue to provide testing and support for the state’s medicinal cannabis program to ensure access to safe products.

We take our responsibility to our employees seriously, however, and have implemented several changes to our operations in order to protect their health during the COVID19 pandemic.

Starting Monday, July 27, sample submissions will be available by appointment only. Access to the lab itself is limited to essential personnel only and we will only be allowing one person at a time into our reception and sample drop off area. As a result, there are a limited number of available appointments each day, so we recommend scheduling your drop off well in advance to ensure you can get an appointment on your preferred sample submission date.

  • Lab shifts have been broken up into four sub-teams in order to minimize the amount of workers in the lab at any given time. The teams have zero overlap contact.
  • A social distancing policy has been implemented. Employees are to remain six feet apart to the best of their ability and minimize verbal communication.
  • Health Evaluations – prior to reporting to a shift, all essential employees must check in with their supervisor to report any symptoms. Employee health is monitored for the duration of their shift as well.
  • Temperature checks – prior to entering the building, all essential employees must have their temperature checked.
  • Lab Disinfection – All surfaces and equipment are cleaned and disinfected after each shift with an Isopropyl Alcohol solution.
  • Intakes – Intakes are now performed upstairs in the administrative offices to limit contact between drivers and other employees.
  • Sample submissions for home growers are now only available by appointment. No unscheduled walk-ins will be admitted into our facility.

  • All non-essential personnel have been asked to work from home for the duration of the crisis.
  • Paid sick time – Employees now have unlimited sick days to utilize, and are encouraged to stay home if they feel unwell.
