General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the overall operational success of the business. The position requires analytical and critical analyses of a rapidly changing business and scientific environment.

Experience with Cannabis and Laboratory Supervision a PLUS!

Job Summary

We are looking for a self-starter and results-driven General Manager to direct and manage our Framingham location. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and vision in directing business functions that will assist our company in maintaining relationships with clients, generating new business, increasing staff productivity, improving service, ensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives.

The General Manager should account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales, and improve revenue, maintain relationships and create partnerships with clients, enhance the organization’s branding, and meet overall growth objectives. Cannabis and Laboratory Experience is a PLUS!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Critical responsibilities include:

  • Foster effective communication and identify problems in overall site operations. Develop and implement effective solutions for resolving operational issues.
  • Outreach and network with industry stakeholders including potential clients, regulators, healthcare providers, advocates, and other industry professionals
  • Work with direct and indirect reports, maintain a high level of integrity for all aspects of the customer experience at the site.
  • Provide weekly reports to Executive Team.
  • Familiarity with ISO 17025 regulations.
  • Good understanding of the needs of the clients, familiar with the Cannabis ecosystem.
  • Ensure that positive employee relations position is maintained.
  • Coordinate and foster communication channels between critical departments.
  • Track external changes in business environment and adjust internal priorities and openly communicate with interdepartmental teams.


Qualifications include:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in business or scientific field, or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above
  • Strong work ethic and moral code
  • Skills – Strong communication. Able to prioritize tasks in order of impact. Able to delegate responsibly.
  • General Awareness/Hazmat Training, strongly preferred
  • Experience – Identifying critical situations as they relate to internal and external risks
