Director of Human Resources

Job Description

The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing all Human Resources policies, processes and programs for the organization.


 Improving, developing and implementing human resources policies;

 Oversee all aspects of Human Resource functions including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, benefits, recruiting, and employee engagement.

 Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations;

 Assist with the development of KPI’s to measure effectiveness and efficiency across all departments;

 Oversee biweekly payroll and worker’s comp issues;

 Create, oversee and manage HR budget;

 Manage and escalate HR issues appropriately;

 Analyze wage and salary data and recommend effective compensation plan;

 Support management by providing human resources direction, advice and counsel;


 Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

 Well organized;

 Strong interpersonal skills;

 Detail oriented;

 Ability to multi-task at a high level;

 Demonstrated commitment to valuing, respecting and enhancing employee diversity;

 Demonstrated the ability to maintain confidentiality and privileged information;


 Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or another related field;

 7 or more years of Human Resource management experience;

 SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP Certification strongly preferred;

 Experience with a startup company scaling a mid-level organization with 50-100 people;

 Knowledge of labor laws and regulations;

 Proficient in Microsoft office and G-Suite;

 Budget management experience;

 Willingness to travel
