How to submit a sample for testing

New or established clients are always welcome to drop off samples without an appointment during our normal business hours, Monday – Friday 10:30 AM to 5 PM. If you need to come before or after these times, please call ahead to set up an appointment for an off-hours drop off. Samples must be hand delivered to MCR Labs as mailing cannabis is not legal.

The sample intake process takes between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on how many samples you’re submitting and if you have any questions about the various tests, the results you’ll receive, or anything else we can clarify for you. We’ll ask for your contact info so we can deliver test results promptly. All clients will get a client account on, which should be used to view testing results. All results are available online, however, your results will not be publicly visible unless you provide consent for them to be listed on our Tested Products page.

When submitting samples for testing, we’ll ask you for information about the sample(s) you’re submitting, such as what tests you’d like performed, the sample or serving size, and the strain or hybridity of the product. It is not a problem if you don’t know the strain as this info is not critical to any of the testing processes.

We offer ISO accredited testing services for flower, extracts, concentrates, and marijuana-infused products (MIPs) such as edibles, lotions, tinctures, drinks etc. We currently provide potency testing that includes cannabinoid and terpene profiles, as well as safety screening for the presence of heavy metals, pesticides, residual solvents, microbiological contamination, and mycotoxins. For more information about the different tests, please review our Services page.

All information collected during a sample drop off is kept strictly confidential, and we are happy to answer any and all questions you may have about the testing process, pricing, and amount of product required for each test.

Sample submission quantities required for potency testing:

For a cannabinoid profile, we require 0.3 grams for flower samples, 0.2 grams for concentrate samples, and one serving size for edibles samples. To inquire the sample size requirements for other tests, please email [email protected].

Cost per test:

Cannabinoid profile: $50
Terpene profile: $25

Please contact us by phone or email to inquire about additional testing options and prices.
